Welcome Back, Kiki (But Is It Too Late?)

LaKisha Jones Kisses Simon Cowell

Didn’t the infamous Sanjaya say something about talking about “something other than hair?” Well, from Jordin’s over-done ‘do (i think i saw Haley Scarnato hiding in there) to Blake’s sinister black locks, hair certainly had a large role in this week’s Bon-Jovi themed episode.

As for the singing, overall there were some pretty great moments. Melinda rocked her version of “Have a Nice Day,” Chris (who I think is terribly underrated) did a fine job on “Wanted (Dead or Alive),” and Blake did a Timberlake version of “You Give Love a Bad Name.” It was LaKisha, however, who really threw it down with a soulful rendition of “This Ain’t a Love Song,” which even warranted a kiss from Simon. Jordin was disappointing with her version of “Living on a Prayer,” which was mostly screamed. As for Phil Stacey, I like the guy, but why is he still there? Oh, that’s right, because Sanjaya sucked more.

Two contestants will be leaving on Wednesday. Who? Well, for me Phil is a no-brainer, but the second eviction notice may end up going to LaKisha due to a lack of stunning performances in the last two installments. Remember, they are counting last week’s votes as well, and last week was not kind to Ms. Jones. Stay tuned to see who is left standing!

Simon said that half of the audience would love Blake’s rendition of “You Give Love a Bad Name” and the other half would hate it. So, where do you fall?
