Survivor: Figi - Thanks to Surprise Power Play, Stacy Leaves Tribe

With just six contestants left over on Bula-Bula, the hidden immunity idols are more coveted than a shower or picnic or even letters from home. In the beginning of this week’s episode, it was Boo who was clearly marked as the first in the former alliance to head on off the island. However, the reward challenge seemed to change some of the players’ plans. The reward? A 2008 Ford Truck. The winner of said truck? Yau-Man. Now, either the best strategist in Survivor history or the biggest fool, Yau made a deal with Dreamz, “I’ll give you the Ford, but if we both make it to the final four and you win immunity, you give it to me.” Dreamz quickly agrees.

I have been a fan of Yau from the beginning. He seemed like no threat at all. I mean, he is much older than the others on the island, not to mention the fact that the guy looks as if he weighs about 110lbs soaking wet (which he often is.) He has been a real surprise, though. He holds his own at every challenge, no matter how physical, and he really seems to understand how to deal with the other players which is even more important than one’s physical performance.

When Boo won immunity, though, I thought ol’ Yau’s number was up. It took Dreamz several hours, but he figured out that if Yau-Man were to be evicted from the island before the players were cut down to four, there would be no agreement left to honor. So, off to Tribal Council the remaining six went. They voted. But wait, just before host Jeff Probst announced the results, there was sly old Yau handing over one of the hidden immunity idols! It was a good thing, too, because he did indeed get the most votes for dismissal. Stacey may only have gotten two or three votes cast against her, but thanks to Yau’s surprise move, she was sent to join the jury.
