American Idol is planning a two night, charity extravaganza on April 24 & 25 featuring original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, along with Gwen Stefani, Josh Groban, Pink, Michael Buble, Annie Lennox, Il Divo, Borat Sagdiyev, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Forest Whitaker, Helena Bonham Carter, Daniel Radcliffe, Teri Hatcher and Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson.) The goal is to boost awareness and raise money for organizations that help out with extreme poverty in Africa and the U.S. For every vote cast, sponsors will donate money to charities. Yay, more incentive for Howard Stern’s listeners to vote Sanjaya in!
Fox has enticed me so much that I think this will be my first American Idol. I may even attempt to help out with the Sanjaya cause myself.
Oh and if you live in the LA area or you have lots of money to go there, limited tickets to Disney Hall will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday, April 11th, internet only. Log-on to ticketmaster.com. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the charity. Should be a good show!

I was so moved by the personal tragedies shown, Simon C and Ryan S , with the young ladies, mother daughter….so hard to watch but I know it sent a message to me, my daughter. We will give up something each of us and will donate. The whole program was awesome!!!!! /so much talent, all humans like most of good people wanting to help
We would still like to donate money for the aid project, please advise how to donate. We were unable to phone in our donation.
