After all of the rumors, it’s official that the aging Spice Girls are planning to cash in on the franchise one last time before it’s too late. Eight years after breaking up, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton are going on a world tour to cities that include New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, and they expect to pocket about $20 million each for the 11 dates.

For all of you fans who are considering shelling out your hard-earned money to make these women even richer than they are, beware of one fact being kept on the down-low. Posh, Sporty, Scary, Ginger, and Baby Spice will have a bit of high-tech assistance for their live performances. They are going to pre-record the concert tracks, and then at the concert a computer will instantaneously correct pitch mistakes that the girls make using the recorded music. Maybe it’s not as blatant as Britney Spears‘ outright lip-syncing, but it’s certainly not that far behind. Welcome to our plastic world.
