Brittany Murphy has been engaged three times since 2004, and it appears that the third time’s a charm. Murphy married British writer-director Simon Monjack several weeks ago, and it became public after the couple was spotted at the Kentucky Derby wearing wedding bands this past weekend. Reportedly, they were married at Murphy’s home at a very private ceremony with family in attendance and a rabbi officiating. Murphy’s publicist Nicole Perna confirmed the marriage.
Murphy was previously engaged to talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz for five months in 2004 but broke it off because, allegedly, he was still attached to his ex-girlfriend. More recently, Murphy got engaged to Joe Macaluso, a Little Black Book crew member whom she met on the set, on New Year’s ‘06, but they broke it off last August…just eight months ago. Here’s hoping this marriage lasts a little longer!
