It seems there was a lot of juice on the set of “Grindhouse.” According to Page Six, married director Robert Rodriguez had an affair with the steamy leading lady, Rose McGowan, and his wife of 16 years, Elizabeth Avellan, found out about it! It ground (no pun intended) the film to a halt for a month while he recovered from the ruination of his marriage. Page Six’s source says:

“It was the worst-kept secret on the set. They were going off to his trailer, having meals together,” our source said. “Rose thought some of the crew were treating her differently, and the attitude was, like, well what do you expect when you’re [bleeping] the director?”

Even Variety says:

“When the director ‘fell in love with his femme-fatale star . . . he broke up his marriage of 16 years . . . The production had to shut down for a month while he recovered.’

As of now they are separated “amicably” and plan to raise their boys, Rebel, Rocket, Rogue and Racer, and daughter, Rhiannon, together. OK, did his wife agree to those names? That’s just silly!
