Tom Cruise is so important in the Scientology world that he can now perform marriages. AHN is reporting that Cruise is going to officiate for the Scientology ceremony of his wealthy Australian friend James Packer on Wednesday in France. Packer, who is considered one of the richest followers of Scientology (he inherited $6.5 billion when his father Kerry died last year), is marrying model-turned-singer Erica Baxter. Tom Cruise is one of the last people I would want blessing my marriage, right behind Lucifer himself.
Tom and Katie are already in Europe, and they are apparently still courting the Beckhams. They attended David Beckham’s last game with Real Madrid yesterday and sat right beside Victoria. Curiously, Tom sat between Posh and Katie. Why does that surprise me?
To round out their European trip, they were spotted leaving Berlin’s Scientology center one evening at midnight sparking new rumors that Tom’s going to put a bunch of Scientology propaganda into his new film about Schenk von Stauffenberg, the man who tried but failed to kill Adolf Hitler. Stauffenberg’s family is already scared to death about Cruise’s involvement, as they should be.
