Paris Hilton seems to be making the biggest mistake of her life: crossing Barbara Walters. She’s giving the highly coveted after-jail interview to NBC, not to her friend Walters over at ABC.
After all of the work Barbara has put into this situation: disagreeing with a View producer on the radio that it’s possible Paris could be a co-host, taking Paris’ collect call from jail and then releasing her statement on The View, and getting close to mom Kathy, Paris has just dismissed all of that and made a deal with NBC’s exec Jeff Zucker. Well, her dad made the deal, but Paris agreed to it under one condition…no Matt Lauer. Apparently he talked smack about her at some point (who hasn’t?) so it has to be Meredith Viera or no one. Another slap to Barbara.
In any case, I’ll be tuning in to see what that girl has to say about the can, and I’m sure it’s going to be the height of drama. From rats to rapes to starvation, it’s all going to be there, and all of America will end up feeling sorry for her. And that’s the point of it.
