As a working actor, Mia Farrow has probably insulted the wrong person in Hollywood. In a new opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, she and her son Ronan compare Steven Spielberg to Nazi filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl because of his involvement in the Chinese Olympics. She’s upset with China because of their backing of Sudan where there’s currently a holocaust going on in the region of Darfur.

Does Mr. Spielberg really want to go down in history as the Leni Riefenstahl of the Beijing Games? Do the various television sponsors around the world want to share in that shame? Because they will. Unless, of course, all of them add their singularly well-positioned voices to the growing calls for Chinese action to end the slaughter in Darfur.

Maybe Steven Spielberg doesn’t read the Wall Street Journal.
