John Travolta is off promoting Hairspray, and with that comes lots of Scientology craziness. This time it’s nothing to do with the environment, but psychotropic drugs.

Do you have any idea how bad these drugs are? Well, just look at Columbine, Virginia Tech, and other school shootings. We can’t blame those tragedies on just some bad nuts, violent video games, or guns. No, it was the Prozac and the Ritalin! He tells W magazine,

I still think that if you analyze most of the school shootings, it is not gun control. It is [psychotropic] drugs at the bottom of it.”

And how does he feel about compadre Tom Cruise and his fit with Matt Lauer over the same issue?

I don’t disagree with anything Tom says. How would I have presented it? Maybe differently than how he did, but it doesn’t matter.”

Nice, let’s push psychiatry back to the times of lobotomies instead, shall we? Somebody should arrest this idiot for holding his very own sick kid back from a better life. Modern medicine? No. Just audit him some more. Yeah, it’s done a world of good, I hear.
