David E. Kelley has never been afraid to make major cast changes in his shows, and now he’s getting rid of four characters on Boston Legal. Say goodbye to Paul (Rene Auberjonois), Denise (Julie Bowen), Brad (Mark Valley), and Clair (Constance Zimmer).

Although I watch Boston Legal regularly, I don’t care about any of these characters, and some of them I can’t stand. Kelley was smart with this move. He’s adding three others to the roster, including a favorite recurring character, Jerry Espenson, played by Christian Clemenson. He’s all sorts of crazy with the Asperger’s syndrome and all. Other additions include Night Court’s John Larroquette and Dirt’s Tara Summers. Just give me more Denny and Alan. That’s where it’s at.
