So one time when Rolling Stone’ guitarist Keith Richards was doing blow, he decided to snort his dad’s ashes. Freaky! Here’s the quote to NME:

The strangest thing I’ve tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father. He was cremated and I couldn’t resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow.

My dad wouldn’t have cared, he didn’t give a shit. It went down pretty well, and I’m still alive.

I’m not sure what to make of this story. At first I was really grossed out. Now I’m softening and am thinking that it might have been a symbolic gesture, like, becoming a blood brother with someone. Then again, he was probably just stoned out of his mind, and it had no meaning. What do you think?
