Remember when you were in elementary school and your birthday came along? It was your day to bring in a special treat for the class and the one day when everyone was guaranteed to like you. Well, Katie Holmes spent her entire Mad Money shoot bringing in treats, such as cupcakes, snow cones, and pizza. When the shoot wrapped last week, she “lavished the cast and crew with desserts”. (She also took eight dozen cupcakes back to Camp Cruise for the scores of Tiny Tom’s relatives who live there.)

Did the flashback to elementary school help the actress gain friends? Even with the promise of cornucopias of cupcakes, I doubt even Queen Latifah will call her when they get back to L.A. Someone should have warned Katie about trying too hard. It makes you look pathetic. And that’s the last thing Katie needs.
