Former American Idol contestant and miraculous Oscar-winner for Dreamgirls, Jennifer Hudson, is reportedly getting married. Is it because she’s head-over-heels in love? Not necessarily. It’s because she promised her maintenance-engineer boyfriend of eight years, James Peyton, that she would marry him when her career got off the ground. A source said to the National Enquirer,
James didn’t want to let Jennifer slip away. After she won the Oscar, James reminded her that she promised him they would get married as soon as she got her singing career off the ground.
This reminds me of the 18-year-old Midwestern girls who go on Howard Stern to try out for Playboy and get the gig. They promise to stay true to their boyfriends, Billy or Bobby, back home in Missouri or Ohio, even while starting new lives at the Playboy Mansion with Hef. It doesn’t happen! Well, maybe this is different. Hudson said of Peyton and of picking a mate,
The difference is, why would I pick somebody new when it’s like, ‘You don’t know me. You just see the Jennifer Hudson that’s in Dreamgirls or the Jennifer Hudson from American Idol’
Despite what she says (and it’s not that convincing), the marriage - if it happens - is bound to fail, but Peyton should keep reminding her of the deal so that he can cash in before it’s too late.

First of all her career is not off the ground you highness won Oscar, and other awards. She is getting married now because she is fresh on everyones mind and she can use the media and her celebredom in regards to wedding gifts etc. Jennifer has a hidden agenda, and I was told or heard on the radio she said she would marry him when the won the Oscar, what if she had not won???? This girl really think we are stupid. She has been around that Hollywood hype long enough to try to con everyone, winning any award should not be any reason to marry anyone. It’s all about Jennifer these days are their any other actresses in Hollywood besides her, enough is enough.I blame Hollywood and the director of Dreamgirls for sweeling her head up, did anyone else win an Oscar last year. She is also now the bl;ack Anna Nicole from her dress and that phony Anna Nicole kiss no other black actress acts like that. She doesn’t love anyone but Jennifer, sahe was and is Effie.
