Just a few days ago Paris was blaming her publicist, Elliot Mintz, for her jail sentence. She has claimed from the beginning that he told her that her license was no longer suspended and that driving was no longer a no-no. Mr. Mintz even took the stand at her hearing and said that it really was all his fault, (the judge, in return, called his testimony “worthless”). This did not stop the hotel heiress from handing him his pink slip. But it seems she could not live without him for long.
On Monday at attorney Robert Shapiro’s Sober Day USA (yes, Sober…Day…USA), the Hilton sisters showed up with Mintz to, I assume, show their solidarity for sobriety! Mintz told Us Magazine that the whole firing thing was just blown out of proportion:
The rumors of our professional separation were overexaggerated. I continue to be her media rep. She remains a client…and more importantly a dear friend.”
Good to hear that Hilton still has a dear friend, even if it is a paid friend.
