We previously reported an angry Mia Farrow scolding, of all people, film-maker Steven Spielberg for participating in the Chinese Olympics since China has an influence on the crisis in Darfur. Well, Spielberg is actually taking steps now to make it appear that he cares. He stated in a letter to Chinese President Hu Jintao, “I add my voice to those who ask that China change its policy toward Sudan.” He also urged China to pressure the Sudan to accept UN peacekeepers to protect the victims of the genocide.

Comparing someone to a Nazi in a national newspaper is enough to embarrass even the most powerful in Hollywood to take action. Mia probably will still get blacklisted, though.
