Pregnant, 17-year-old Keisha Castle-Hughes, star of Whale Rider and The Nativity Story, was out and about in Auckland over the weekend doing a bit of shopping when a freelance photographer began shooting her and her party. She responded by giving him the finger, and two people that were with her attempted to go up to him and photograph him with their cell phones. Reportedly, one of them was a teenage boy who also kicked the photographer’s camera and broke the lens cap. An onlooker said that all of this transpired after the photographer was finished getting his shot and was walking away. The cameraman said that he was just doing his job and believes this was prompted by being mistaken for another paparazzi who published unauthorized pictures of Keisha in a magazine. Someone should have explained to this girl that if she takes on the role of the Virgin Mary she shouldn’t get knocked up or flip people off as long as they are trying to promote this film. What a disaster.
