Late-night talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel had emergency appendectomy surgery yesterday. His publicist Lewis Kay gave this statement,

The surgery was a success. The rest of this week’s tapings of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ have been canceled until he is back on his feet. He is resting comfortably and is looking forward to getting back to work.

Get well soon, Jimmy. Let’s hope Sarah is a better caregiver than I presume her to be. Doesn’t Jimmy seem like the nurturer of the family?
