Selma Blair, who will always be the deliciously naughty and virginal Cecile in one of my favorite movies, Cruel Intentions, supposedly has secretly finished a 30-day substance-abuse program at Promises in Malibu. Although unlike the Britney Spears circus, Blair managed to keep it on the down-low. Apparently she’s had addiction problems for awhile that escalated after her divorce to Ahmet Zappa in November. In March, after friends and family grew increasing concerned, Blair, 34, decided for herself to get some help. An “insider” said,

Selma finally admitted to herself that she had a problem and made up her mind to take care of it.”

And a unlike some other recent rehabbers who even claim that they weren’t addicted in the first place, Blair seems to have learned something from her therapy. A “source” said,

She embraced what she learned at Promises and distinguished herself as a model patient. She’s anxious to get back to work and pursue a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.”

We, of course, wish her the best and hope she stays off the stuff, but we might just indulge a bit in imagining her doing lines.
