On May the 1st, Larry Birkhead finally took his daughter to meet the rest of his family in Louisville, KY. Few have had as much drama in their lives as baby Dannielynn. A day after her birth, her brother passed away. There were questions as to who her daddy is, and then, just a few short months after she entered the world, her mom passed away. That’s when the whole “who’s your daddy?” thing really came into play. Did she belong to Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer and constant companion Howard K. Stern or former boyfriend Larry?

After the Bahamian courts finally decided where to bury Anna’s body, there were weeks before DNA finally proved Dannielynn belonged to Mr. Birkhead. Well, I honestly hope that life gets easier for this little girl. I hope Larry turns out to be the loving father he seems to be. What I hope for most, though, is that the media will let this child grow up without shining the spotlight on her. She has been through enough in the last 7 months. We can speculate about Anna’s life all we want (Ms. Smith would not have wanted it any other way), but it’s time to let Dannielynn be.
