M. Night Shyamalan has cast Marky Mark in his new film The Happening. According to comingsoon.net and Variety, “Wahlberg will play a man who takes his family on the run when the world turns upside and a cataclysmic natural crisis threatens to end the world.”

After less than optimal reactions to his last two films, The Village and Lady in the Water, Shyamalan is bringing back Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense producer Barry Mendel, who will produce with Sam Mercer. Third time’s the charm.
